Preparing Paver for Maintenance
If any maintenance must be
performed while the engine is running, DO NOT leave
paver unattended.
1. Park the paver on a level surface.
2. Lower all attachments to ground level.
3. Place Run/Stop switch in the STOP position.
4. Run engine at 1/2 speed (1800 RPMs) without load
for three to ve minutes, then reduce to slow idle.
5. Place ignition switch in the OFF position.
Always ll fuel tank at the end of the
day to prevent condensation.
Every 10 Hours or Daily Routine
Maintenance
1. Clean asphalt material off the machine and spray
cleaning solvent (or release agent) on the wear-
plate, extensions, and any other area that has been
in contact with paving material.
NEVER spray cleaning solvent onto
hot surfaces as serious injury can result.
Protect electrical components from
water and cleaners. NEVER high-pressure wash
electrical components.
If asphalt material is allowed to
remain on the paver overnight, possible damage and
increased maintenance costs can result upon start-
up the next day. Poor housekeeping will increase
maintenance costs.
2. Lubricate the required parts. (Page 5-6)
3. Check beacon and work lights are functioning.
Replace any lighting components if needed.
4. Check battery cables and connections. (Page
5-18)
5. Check coolant level. Fill if needed.
