3.IfyouareusingaUSBhub,disconnecttheUSBdevicefromthehuband
connectitdirectlytotheserver.

Solvingpowerproblems
Powerproblemscanbedifficulttosolve.Forexample,ashortcircuitcanexistanywhereonanyofthe
powerdistributionbuses.Usually,ashortcircuitwillcausethepowersubsystemtoshutdownbecauseof
anovercurrentcondition.
Todiagnoseapowerproblem,usethefollowinggeneralprocedure:
Step1.Turnofftheserveranddisconnectallpowercords.
Step2.Checkforloosecablesinthepowersubsystem.Alsocheckforshortcircuits,forexample,ifa
loosescrewiscausingashortcircuitonacircuitboard.
Step3.CheckthelitLEDsonthelightpathdiagnosticspanel.
Step4.IfthechecklogLEDonthelightpathdiagnosticspanelislit,checktheIMMeventlogforfaulty
