UpdatingtheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)
TheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)mustbeupdatedwhenthesystemboardisreplaced.UsetheLenovo
ToolsCenterSuiteCLI(OneCLI)toupdatetheUUIDintheUEFI-basedserver.
OneCLIisanonlinetoolthatsupportsseveraloperatingsystems.Makesurethatyoudownloadtheversion
foryouroperatingsystem.YoucandownloadOneCLIfromtheLenovoWebsite.TodownloadOneCLI
andupdatetheUUID,dothefollowing:

fromwhatisdescribedinthisdocument.
Step1.DownloadOneCLI:
a.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/support.
b.ClicktheDownloadstabatthetopofthepanel.
c.UnderToolsCenter,selectViewT oolsCenterdownloads.
d.SelectLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLI.
e.Scrolldown,clickthelink,anddownloadtheOneCLIversionforyouroperatingsystem.
Step2.OneCLIsetstheUUIDintheIMM2.SelectoneofthefollowingmethodstoaccesstheIMM2
tosettheUUID:
Onlinefromthetargetsystem,suchasLANorkeyboardconsolestyle(KCS)access
Remoteaccesstothetargetsystem(LANbased)
BootablemediumcontainingOneCLI(LANorKCS,dependinguponthebootablemedia)
Step3.CopyandunpacktheOneCLIpackage,whichalsoincludesotherrequiredfiles,totheserver.
MakesurethatyouunpacktheOneCLIandtherequiredfilestothesamedirectory.
Step4.AfteryouinstallOneCLI,usethefollowingcommandsyntaxtosettheUUID:
oneclicongsetSYSTEM_PROD_DATA.SysInfoUUID<uuid_value>[access_method]
Where:
<uuid_value>
Upto16-bytehexadecimalvalueassignedbyyou.
