Toremoveadualinlinememorymodule(DIMM),completethefollowingsteps:

Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage149).
Step4.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage152).
Step5.CarefullyopentheretainingclipsoneachendoftheDIMMconnectorandremovetheDIMM.
Attention:ToavoidbreakingtheretainingclipsordamagingtheDIMMconnectors,openand
closetheclipsgently.

ThefollowingnotesdescribethetypesofDIMMsthattheserversupportsandotherinformationthatyou
mustconsiderwhenyouinstallDIMMs.
WhenyouinstallorremoveDIMMs,theserverconfigurationinformationchanges.Whenyourestartthe
server,thesystemdisplaysamessagethatindicatesthatthememoryconfigurationhaschanged.
Theserversupportsonlyindustry-standarddouble-data-rate4(DDR4),2400MHz,PC4-19200registered
orloaddeduction,synchronousdynamicrandom-accessmemory(SDRAM)dualinlinememorymodules
