•ThememoryranksparingfeatureissupportedonservermodelswithanIntelXeonE5-2600v4series
microprocessor.
•Themaximumavailablememoryisreducedwhenmemoryranksparingmodeisenabled.
•ThememoryranksparingmoderequiresanevennumberofDIMMs.Ifyourserverhasanoddnumber
ofDIMMsinstalled,ensurethatyoudisablethememoryranksparingmodefromtheMemorymenuin
SetupUtility.See“UsingtheSetupUtility”onpage52.
Note:Afterdisablingthememoryranksparingmode,ifamessagepromptsthatthememoryconfiguration
isnotvalid,restarttheIMM2.Alternatively,youcanturnofftheserver,disconnectitfromandthen
reconnectittoacpower,andthenturnontheserveragain.
