Usethisinformationtoinstall,remove,andreplacetheservercomponents.
Replaceablecomponentsconsistofthefollowing:
•Structuralparts:Purchaseandreplacementofstructuralparts(components,suchaschassisassembly,
topcover,andbezel)isyourresponsibility.IfLenovoacquiresorinstallsastructuralcomponentat
yourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheservice.
•Consumableparts:Purchaseandreplacementofconsumableparts(components,suchasfancage
andblankfanfiller)isyourresponsibility.IfLenovoacquiresorinstallsaconsumablecomponentat
yourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheservice.
•Tier1CRU:ReplacementofTier1CRUsisyourresponsibility.IfLenovoinstallsaTier1CRUatyour
request,youwillbechargedfortheinstallation.
•Tier2CRU:YoumayinstallaTier2CRUyourselforrequestLenovotoinstallit,atnoadditionalcharge,
underthetypeofwarrantyservicethatisdesignatedforyourserver.

Returningadeviceorcomponent
Ifyouareinstructedtoreturnadeviceorcomponent,followallpackaginginstructions,anduseany
packagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Internalcableroutingandconnectors
Thissectionprovidesinformationaboutroutingthecableswhenyouinstallsomecomponentsintheserver.
Note:Disengagealllatches,releasetabsorlocksoncableconnectorswhenyoudisconnectallcablesfrom
thesystemboard.Failingtoreleasethembeforeremovingthecableswilldamagethecablesocketson
thesystemboard.Thecablesocketsonthesystemboardarefragile.Anydamagetothecablesockets
mayrequirereplacingthesystemboard.
