ToremovethededicatedslotlessRAIDcontroller,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”on
page297.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables,
ifnecessary.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage149).
Step4.Disconnectthesignalcablesfromtheconnectorsonthecontrollerandnotetheirlocations.
Step5.1Presstheretentiontabsawayfromthecontroller;then,slightlyliftuptherearofthecontroller,
and2pullitoutoftheconnectoronthesystemboard.
