Step2.Turnofftheserver,anddisconnectallpowercordsandexternalcables.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingthetopcover”onpage149).
Step4.LocatetheServeRAIDadapterontowhichyouwanttoinstalltheServeRAIDadaptermemory
module.Thenremoveanypartsanddisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstothe
ServeRAIDadapter.
Step5.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheServeRAIDadaptermemorymoduletoany
unpaintedmetalsurfaceontheserver.ThenremovetheServeRAIDadaptermemorymodule
fromthepackage.
Step6.AligntheServeRAIDadaptermemorymodulewiththememorymoduleslotontheServeRAID
adapter.Thenpressthememorymodulestraightdownintotheslotuntilthememorymodule
snapsintoposition.Ensurethatthememorymoduleisfirmlyseated.
