3.Iftheproblemremains,shutdownandremovenodefromchassisandphysicallyverifythatone
ormoreDIMMsareinstalledandthatallDIMMsareinstalledinthecorrectpopulationsequence.
4.IfDIMMsarepresentandproperlyinstalled,checkforanylitDIMM-connectorLEDs,andif
found,reseatthoseDIMMs.
5.Reinstallnodeinchassis,poweronnode,thenchecklogsformemorydiagnosticcodes.
6.(Trainedtechnicianonly)Iftheproblemremains,replacetheprocessor.
7.(Trainedtechnicianonly)Iftheproblemremains,replacethesystemboard.

1.YoumustAC-cyclethesystemtore-enabletheaffectedDIMMconnectororre-enablemanually
usingtheSetuputility.
2.Ifthecomputenodehasbeenrecentlyinstalled,serviced,moved,orupgraded,checktoensure
thatDIMMsarefirmlyseatedandthatnoforeignmaterialcanbeseenintheDIMMconnector.
Ifeitherconditionisobserved,correctandretrywiththesameDIMM.(Note:TheeventLog
mightcontainarecent00580A4eventdenotingdetectedchangeinDIMMpopulationthat
couldberelatedtothisproblem.)
3.Ifproblempersists,replacetheDIMMidentifiedbyLightPathand/oreventlogentry.
4.IfproblemrecursonthesameDIMMconnector,swaptheotherDIMMsonthesamememory
channelacrosschannelsoneatatimetoadifferentmemorychannelorprocessor.Ifproblem
followsamovedDIMMtoadifferentmemorychannel,replacethatDIMM.
5.ChecktheLenovosupportsiteforanapplicableservicebulletinorfirmwareupdatethatapplies
tothismemoryerror.
6.(Trainedservicetechnicianonly)RemoveaffectedProcessorandinspectProcessorsocketpins
fordamagedormis-alignedpins.Ifdamageisfound,orthisisanupgradeProcessor,replacethe
systemboard.IftherearemultipleProcessor’s,swapProcessor’stomoveaffectedProcessorto
anotherProcessorsocketandretry.IfproblemfollowstheaffectedProcessor(orthereisonly
oneProcessor),replacetheaffectedProcessor.
7.IfproblemstayswiththeoriginalDIMMconnector,re-inspectDIMMconnectorforforeign
materialandremove,iffound.Ifconnectorisdamaged,replacesystemboard
