Special features when operating the controller variant 1xx (IT system)
ƒ An operation with mains filters or RFI filters is not allowed because they
contain components connected to PE. The safety concept of the IT system
would thus be set off.
ƒ Due to physical reasons, an earth fault on the motor side at the controller
can disturb or damage other devices at the same IT system. Thus,
appropriate measures must be taken to detect the earth fault and
disconnect the controller from the mains.
Possible consequences:
ƒ The components will be destroyed in case of an earth fault.
Protective measures:
ƒ Operate the controller E82xVxxK4B1xx only with the assigned mains
chokes, never with mains or RFI filters.
ƒ Protect the IT system against earth fault at the controller.
Note!
An earth−leakage circuit breaker between the supplying mains and the
controller can be activated by mistake ...
ƒ by capacitive compensation currents of the cable shields during operation
(especially with long, shielded motor cables),
ƒ by simultaneous connection of several controllers to the mains supply,
ƒ if additional interference filters are used.
