NOTE:
If the OC-3 circuit pack is going to be using the same
cross-connects as the EC-1 circuit pack that is to be
removed, then the only cross-connects that need to be
deleted are those at the node where the circuit pack is being
replaced. The pass-through cross-connections can remain.
NTP-036Discontinue the EC-1 interface cross-connections at the OC-3
node associated with the FT-2000 secondary node. Note that
only cross-connections at the DRI node are being
discontinued when using the procedures of NTP-036.
5. At the OC-3 node associated with the FT-2000 secondary dual
ring interworking node, remove BBG6 STS1E circuit pack(s) from
function unit slot(s) being upgraded to OLIUs (for example, node
DinFigure1).
6. Momentarily depress UPD button on SYSCTL or use the upd
command from the CIT.
7. At the FT-2000 secondary dual ring interworking node (for
example, node A in Figure 1), use FT-2000 procedures in
