23. At the FT-2000 primary dual ring interworking node, use FT-2000
procedures in 365-575-103,

DLP-50424. Install required OLIU(s) in the OC-3 node associated with the
FT-2000 primary node (for example, node C in Figure 1).
25. At the DDM-2000 end of optical span between the FT-2000
primary node and DDM-2000, use the
set-fecom:address:com=enabled,nsus=ns/us command
to enable far-end communications (fecom) and set Network Side
(ns)/User Side (us) parameters.
26. At the FT-2000 shelf, use CONFIGURATION-Set-OC3 command
to set the protection mode to 0X1for the OC-3 slot used for DRI
connections, if only one Optical Interface is used for the DRI
connection. If two Optical Interfaces are used for the DRI
connection, use CONFIGURATION-Set-OC3 command to set the
protection mode to 1 + 1 for the OC-3 slot used for DRI
connections.
27. At the FT-2000 shelf, use
CONFIGURATION-Enter-Assignment-DCC command to
assign a DCC channel to slot(s) used for DRI connections.
