There is an automatic lock. An automatic lock occurs when an
automatic
protection switch is made and then broken four times within a 10-minute
interval.
From the Alarm and Status Report, determine the source address of the DS1
circuit pack locked onto the protection DS1.

When a
DS1
is switched to protection, removal of any other
DS1
circuit
pack or

Retainer Card in the same group will result in a loss of
service to the protected
DS1
and the removed
DS1
circuit pack.
Replace DS1 service circuit pack locked onto protection.
