BLADE (OPTION)
BLADE USAGE
PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
[Standard posture when using blade]
• Be sure the blade is raised from the ground
during hoisting work. Otherwise, there is a
risk of damage to the machine or toppling,
resulting in serious accidents.
• Do not use the blade to clear debris while a
load is hoisted. Otherwise, there is a risk of
damage to the machine or toppling,
resulting in serious accidents.
• Use the following standard posture when
using the blade to clear debris:
• Position the sprocket (A) to the rear, and
turn the operator's seat to face forward.
• Fully retract the boom, and stow the hook.
• Fully lower the boom.
If the boom is raised to high, there is a
risk of the machine toppling, resulting in
serious accidents.
• Clearing debris while the machine is not in
the standard posture risks machine toppling
and damage to the wires, resulting in
serious accidents.
[Precautions during debris clearing]
• Check for safety around the machine before
clearing debris.
There is a danger of injury to other persons,
machine toppling if the crawlers slip off, or
collision with the crane tip, resulting in
serious accidents.
• The crane tip extends beyond the end of the
blade. Check that there are no obstructions
in front of the machine before clearing
debris. There is a risk of serious accident
due to collision with obstructions if you fail
to check in front of the machine.
• Be sure to lower the blade to the ground
once work is completed and when
transporting the machine. There is a risk of
serious accident due to the blade dropping
if the hydraulic mechanism is damaged or if
the blade cylinder lowers under its own
weight.
• Do not reverse the machine with the blade
lowered.
Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the
blade, the cylinders, or the hydraulic hose.
• Do not cause the blade to collide with
immovable objects such as rocks.
Otherwise, this may damage the blade and
cylinder.
