MOMENT LIMITER
ABNORMALITY MESSAGE
DISPLAY
The moment limiter displays an error code on the
home screen of the monitor to notify the operator if
an abnormality occurs in the boom angle gauge,
boom length gauge, or pressure sensor, or if the
wiring is cut or connectors become detached.
If an error code related to the moment limiter is
displayed on the monitor, immediately stop using
the crane.

corrective action, refer to "6.21.3 MONITOR
ERROR CODES" on P.6-115.

OPERATION AND
CANCELLING (RECOVERY)
The moment limiter is a device provided in case of
emergencies. Routinely relying on this device
while operating the crane may actually create
dangerous situations.
Take care when operating the crane to avoid
overload.
PROHIBITED OPERATIONS
AFTER OVERLOAD
DANGER
The following crane operations are prohibited
after the crane has stopped automatically due
to overloading:
Disregarding these rules is extremely
dangerous and may result in the machine
toppling or the boom breaking.
• Boom lowering
• Boom raising
• Boom extension
• Hook hoisting
RECOVERY OPERATION
AFTER OVERLOAD
DANGER
If overload occurs, operation cannot be
resumed until the load factor has been
reduced to within the safety area with a load
factor of less than 90 % (working status lamp:
green).
If the moment limiter displays a load factor of
90 % or more, be sure to operate the crane
carefully with the engine running at low
speed.
Operating the crane with the engine running at
high speed is extremely dangerous, and may
result in overloading due to oscillation of the
hoisted load, machine toppling or the boom
breaking.
