M A E D A Crawler Crane 4.3 MOMENT LIMITER (OVERLOAD PREVENTION DEVICE)
5/2020 CC1908S-1 4-27
EXPLANATION OF MOMENT
LIMITER DISPLAY
The items are numbered with the numbers on the
corresponding moment limiter display.
[1] Actual load display
Continuously displays the actual load being
hoisted during crane operations.
The actual load indicates the total weight of the
hook, hoisting accessories, and hoisted load.
When no load is hoisted, it is normal for the
display to read "0.0" to "0.1". Contact us or our
sales service agency if it is outside this range.
Due to the configuration of load detection, the
actual load display will change during boom
derricking operation. The actual load value
displayed will appear higher when the boom
is raised, but this is not an eror.
The actual load display will fluctuate if the
load sways, even if the crane itself is
stationary.
[2] Rated total load display
This displays the rated total load (i.e., the total
weight of the hook, hoisting accessories, and
hoisted load) that the crane can currently hoist.
This is calculated according to conditions such as
the number of falls and the working radius.
[3] Actual working radius display
Continuously displays the current actual working
radius while the crane is being operated.
The actual working radius refers to the horizontal
distance from the centre of slewing of the crane to
the centre of the hook. Deflection of the boom due
to the load is not included.
[4] Rated working radius display
Continuously displays the current rated working
radius while the crane is being operated.
The rated working radius refers to the maximum
working radius calculated from the boom length
and actual load.
[5] Hook ground contact indicator
The mark flashes red and automatically stops
lowering when the hook makes contact with the
ground while the crane is being operated.
However, lowering will not stop if the hook ground
contact stop is disabled in the user settings.
