PRECAUTIONS BEFORE
MAINTENANCE
POST WARNING SIGNS DURING
INSPECTION/MAINTENANCE
"DANGER. DO NOT OPERATE!" warning signs
indicate that the machine is being inspected or
maintained. Do not start the engine or touch the
control levers. Ignoring warning signs and
operating the machine may result in serious
personal injury if personnel working on the
machine become trapped in rotating or moving
parts.
Put up additional warning signs around the
machine as required.
When this warning sign is not used, store it in a
tool box. If no tool box is available, keep it in the
holder for the instruction manual.
TIDY UP THE WORKPLACE
Always tidy away tools, hammers, and other
things that might obstruct the working area.
Grease and oil should be wiped off immediately
after use to ensure safe operations.
An untidy workplace may cause safety hazards
such as tripping or slipping, resulting in injuries.
SELECTING THE WORKPLACE
Select a location with firm, level ground for
inspection and maintenance.
Select a location where there is no risk of
landslide, rock fall, or flooding.
KEEP AWAY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL
During maintenance and servicing of the machine,
keep away all personnel except for those
required.
Appoint security personnel as required.
FOLLOW SUPERVISOR'S INSTRUCTION
DURING TEAMWORK
Appoint a person to supervise the work and follow
his/her instructions while repairing the machine or
installing/uninstalling work equipment.
Unforeseen accidents may occur during
teamwork due to misunderstood communication
between workers.
TURN OFF ENGINE DURING INSPECTION
AND MAINTENANCE
Before starting inspection and maintenance, be
sure to retract the crane and stop the engine.
Wait approximately 10 seconds after stopping
the engine for the accumulator residual
pressure to be relieved.
Turn the disconnecting switch in the battery
compartment to "OFF" to shut off the power
supply circuit in order to prevent the system
from unexpectedly starting up during inspection
and maintenance servicing.
