No.5 boom retraction wire rope (8)
adjustment
1. Loosen the lock nut (6), then tighten the
adjustment nuts (7) evenly on either side
(in the clockwise direction) to tension the
retraction wire rope (8) until the gap (a) is
zero.
2. Readjust if the retraction wire rope is
slack or the gap (a) is 5 mm or more after
performing steps 1 and 2 and measuring.

No.5 boom extension wire rope (5)
adjustment
1. Remove the lock bolt (3), then tighten the
adjustment bolts (4) (in the clockwise
direction) to tension the No. 5 boom
extension wire rope (5) until the No. 5
boom just begins to extend.
2. Further tighten the No.5 boom retraction
wire rope (8) adjustment nuts (7) on
either side by two turns each.
3. Secure the No.5 boom retraction wire
rope (8) adjustment nuts (7) with lock
nuts (6).
4. Further tighten the No.5 boom extension
wire rope (5) adjustment bolts (4) by two
turns, then secure with the lock bolts (3).
DERRICK WIRE ROPE
INSPECTION/ADJUSTMENT
If the fly jib is fitted, inspect and adjust the derrick
wire rope as follows:
[Derrick wire rope inspection]
1.
Fully extend the fly jib derricking cylinder.
2.
Make sure the fly jib base surface (P) and
No.1 fly jib surface (Q) are parallel.
If they are not parallel, refer to the section
"Derrick wire rope adjustment" and adjust.
[Derrick wire rope adjustment]
1.
Arrange the machine in the following posture:
Fly jib fully raised
Boom fully retracted
Boom at angle of 0 degrees
CAUTION
The fly jib will be damaged by the machine
bolts if the fly jib is not adjusted to the fully
raised position.
2.
Loosen the nuts (50), and loosen the two
machine bolts (51).
