CYLINDER AIR BLEEDING
IMPORTANT
Revving the engine from the start and
allowing cylinders to move to the stroke ends
may damage the piston seals or other parts
due to air entering the cylinder.
1.
Run the engine at low idle and telescope four
or five times while not allowing the cylinder to
reach the stroke end (stopping it
approximately 100 mm before the stroke
end).
2.
Next, allow each cylinder to travel to their
stroke end three to four times.
3.
Again allow each cylinder to travel to their
stroke end four to five times to bleed the air
thoroughly.
WINCH MOTOR AIR
BLEEDING
IMPORTANT
Bleed the air in the winch motor thoroughly.
Insufficient air bleeding will prevent the
motor from operating smoothly when it
starts.
Securely tighten the air bleeding plug. If it is
loose, the brake cannot be released. It may
also cause oil leakage.
[1] Mechanical brake air bleeding
1.
Remove the cover (C).
2.
Loosen the mechanical brake air bleeding
plug (1) by three to four turns.
3.
Without hoisting a load, repeat the operation
of slowly winding up the hook block, stopping,
and then winding down.
4.
If hydraulic oil oozes out from the mechanical
brake air bleeding plug (1), stop the winch
operation and securely tighten the air
bleeding plug (1).
Tightening torque: 12.3 Nm (1.25 kgfm)
5.
Attach the cover (C).
[2] Counterbalance valve air bleeding
1.
Allow the hook block to touch the ground, and
return the right-hand control lever to the
neutral position.
2.
Loosen the counterbalance valve air bleeding
plug (2) by three to four turns.
3.
Apply pressure by repeating the operation of
slowly winding up the hook block, stopping,
and then winding down so that the winch
barely rotates.
4.
If hydraulic oil oozes out through the
counterbalance valve air bleeding plug (2),
allow the hook block to touch the ground,
then return the right-hand control lever to the
neutral position.
5.
Securely tighten the air bleeding plug (2).
Tightening torque: 29.4 Nm (3 kgfm)
