6.19 WHEN SUCH A PHENOMENON OCCURS M A E D A Crawler Crane
6-96 5/2020 CC1908S-1
WHEN THE CONTROL
LEVERS DO NOT WORK
DANGER
The override switch functions to disable the
moment limiter.
While this switch is in the "ON" (cancel)
position, the crane will not be automatically
stopped by the moment limiter ( a very
dangerous state). Any crane operation in this
state may result in dropping the hoisted load,
damaging the crane boom, and/or toppling the
machine, thus causing a serious accident that
results in death or serious personal injury.
Use this switch only when the moment limiter
has failed or during crane load testing. The
key for this switch should be removed during
regular crane operation.
If crane control levers fail, the crane can be
operated by using the emergency operation
switch under the seat with the override switch in
the "ON" (cancel) position.

HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT AIR
BLEEDING
For details on starting the engine, refer to
"5.2.3 STARTING ENGINE" on P. 5-7. Where
necessary, refer to "5.3.3 STARTING
(FORWARD/REVERSE) AND STOPPING
THE MACHINE" on P. 5-16.
IMPORTANT
• After completion of air bleeding, stop the
engine and allow it to stand still for 5
minutes before starting the engine again.
This process allows the air bubbles trapped
in the oil tank to vent to the atmosphere.
• After completing the operation, check for
any oil leakage and wipe off any spilt oil.
PISTON PUMP AIR BLEEDING
IMPORTANT
Running the pump without filling the pump
case with hydraulic oil will cause overheating
and early damage to the pump. Be sure to
bleed the air.
1.
Loosen the fitting (1) of port D on the pump to
check if oil oozes out through the fitting (1)
(air bleeding completed).
2.
After completion of air bleeding, tighten the
fitting (1) of the port D on the pump.
