3.3 RATED TOTAL LOAD CHARTS M A E D A Crawler Crane

RATED TOTAL LOAD
CHARTS
CAUTION
Be sure to work within the working radius,
as the working radius is the actual value that
includes boom deflection.
The rated total load charts give values for
the machine when positioned on hard level
ground.
Pick & Carry is prohibited under normal
circumstances, as it is extremely unstable
and dangerous. If, however, Pick & Carry is
unavoidable for some reason, be sure to
adhere to the rated total load for Pick &
Carry.
The rated total load for Pick & Carry is the
permissible load for travelling on hard level
ground after hoisting the load while
stationary. During Pick & Carry, hoist the
load at a height as close to the ground as
possible, and avoid sudden acceleration,
sudden braking, or spin turns to prevent the
load from swaying.
Pick & Carry is not possible with boom
sections (3), (4), or (5) extended.
If the boom length exceeds the stipulated
length, operations should be carried out
using the rated total load for the next boom
length up.
The rated total load charts give values that
include the hoisting accessory weight, so
the hook weight (90 kg) must be subtracted
to obtain the actual hoisted load.
Load limit depending on number of falls
Single fall: Up to 1,520 kg
2 falls: Up to 3,090 kg
4 falls: Up to 6,090 kg
6 falls: Up to 8,090 kg
WARNING
When hoisting a load, decide on the length of
the boom (number of boom sections) and
boom angle beforehand. Compare the rated
total load to the weight of the load being
hoisted. Make sure that the total weight of the
hoisting accessories, load, and slinging tools
does not exceed that rated total load.
The angle indicator is attached to the left and right
sides of the No.1 boom and consists of an
indicator and pointer scale, as shown on the right.
The angle indicator should be used as follows:
Read off the angle shown by the indicator.
This value is the corresponding boom angle.
