Motor errors can occur for several reasons.
Over-current issues happen when a motor
draws too much current for a period of
time. Check for balanced power on both
leads to the washer power supply, check
for loose connections at the Inverter output
and on the motor terminals. Check for over
tightened drive belts, and for wrong size
pulley on motor (pulleys over sized as little
as 1/2” in diameter can cause problems).
Ohm out the motor winds.
MFR washers use 3 phase motors and
the motors need to draw current evenly
through all 3 windings to work properly. To
test the motor electrically one can use an
Ohm Meter to check the Ohm values of
the 3 windings. Also check that none of the
windings are shorted to ground.

TROUBLESHOOTING MOTOR
To check the motor mechanically one could
remove the drive belt(s), and then manually
spin the rotor by grasping the motor pulley
and giving it a good spin. The motor should
sound nice and smooth as it turns. If the
motor exhibits a grinding sound during
this test, it may be time to have the motor
bearings serviced or have a new motor
ordered before the motor actually fails.

Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
