TROUBLESHOOTING MFR
INLET HOSE LEAKS
For commercial laundry washing machines
the water inlet hoses are supplied with the
washers from Maytag. These hoses are
congured with ttings at each end. At one
end is a standard NPT tting that ts onto
faucets in North America, the other end has a
European tting that ts onto the back of the
MFR washers. The ttings are distinguished
by a either having a smooth surface on the
tting ats or notches in the tting ats as
shown below.
There were some hoses that failed to hold
water tightly at the tting crimps and the crimp
was redesigned to hold better. The hose crimp
should be as the New Armor style shown in
the illustration below.
