The latch bar moves back and forth in slot
near point A, is retracted by spring at point
B, pivots on a pin at C and activates the
door lock microswitch at point D when the
solenoid plunger’s arm moves the latch bar
into the locked position.

REMOVE LATCH BAR
To remove latch bar, disconnect the spring
from the latch bar.
Remove latch bar from door pivot pin at
point C.
Remove latch bar from door lock
microswitch arm at point D.
NOTE: Make sure no binding occurs at the
pivot point or at the microswitch end of the
latch bar to avoid damaging the microswitch
arm when removing or reinstalling latch bar.
Apply a small amount of lithium-based
grease at the pivot pin.

Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
