Remove the back panel (See page 4-28).
On MFR25 models, it is easier to access the
temperature sensor with the idler assembly
off, but it is not impossible to access it with
the idler assembly in place (See page 4-31).
Use a 14mm open end wrench, to remove
the smaller center nut of the temperature
sensor.
The larger nut is 19mm and is for removing
the bushing that is in the tub.

REMOVE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Remove the center nut and gently pull the
temperature sensor out, use a pair of pliers
if it is too tight to pull out by hand.
The temperature sensor wire goes up to
the control board, avoid pulling the sensor
out by pulling on this wire. If replacing
the temperature sensor, clip any wire ties
necessary to remove the sensor wire from
the washer main wire harness.
Make sure the wire ties are replaced when
rerouting the new temperature sensor wire
up to the control board.
Use a new compression fitting on the end of
the temperature sensor when reinstalling it.
If the compression fitting is compressed, the
bushing and temperature sensor should be
replaced as a unit.
