The motor closes the flapper valve of the
drain when power is applied.
A new replacement drain valve will have
plugs in the left and right valve openings.
Make sure these plugs are knocked out
before attaching hoses to the drain valve.
The MFR80 has two drain valves. Only
knock out the plugs if hoses are to be
attached to the drain valve openings.
TECH TIP: To replace the drain valve,
attach the tub-to-drain valve hose to the top
of the drain valve assembly. Put the drain
valve assembly in place and tighten the
clamp onto the tub drain flange. Reattach
all other hoses. Reinsert and tighten the
mounting rods and nuts.
