Alternately, it is possible to remove three
screws from the rear panel that secure the 6
chemical inlet ports, take the port manifold out,
and connect chemical feed lines directly to the
hoses inside the washer that go directly to the
supply box.
To remove a possible leak-point, one could
actually remove the short hose from the back
of the washer to the dispenser, and attach the
chemical feed line from the pump directly to
the chemical dispenser.
The chemical supply connector tubes are
capped inside like the drain valve. These
should not be tapped out with a screwdriver,
they must be drilled out. There is a sticker
next to the tubes that indicates not to use a
screwdriver, use a drill. There is one larger
connector and ve smaller ones.
Although there are six ports there are eight
supply terminals. This is because some
chemical lines may be combined with a T
tting.
The ports are not barbed so tubes need to
be clamped or secured to the ports in some
other mechanical manner. Do not crush the
connector ports, because they are plastic
and could crack and leak causing chemical
damage to the washer. It is recommended that
chemicals already be diluted at this point with
a water ush manifold system. Most modern
pumps include this type of system. If undiluted
chemicals are supplied here, it will increase
the chance of corrosion damage if a line
breaks loose or leaks. It is recommended that
these connections be checked for leakage on
a regular basis.
