NOTE: To pull a rubber gasket on the
frame it may be necessary to perform this
procedure with two people. One holds
gasket on the top of the door ring and the
second gradually pulls it down to reach
around the door ring. The small lip of the
rubber gasket must lay flat on the door
frame, but will have a tendency to want to
roll back under the main part of the gasket
during installation.
Adjust the door position (See page 8-26).10.
Place the vulcanized seam at the top of
the door (12 o’clock position) and pull the
gasket evenly over the door ring.
Press the gasket gradually against the
reinforcement plate, to remove any air gaps
under the gasket.
