Send To tab
The S end T o tab lets you add, remove, ed it, and s elect pr operties for the
commands that appear on the File > Send To menu. T he Send T o menu is also
sometimes available in the c ontext-sensiti ve pop-up menu that a ppears w hen
youRight-clickthemousebutton,suchaswhenyoupointtoaniconinMy
Comput e r. Co mmands on the Se nd To menu s p ecify loca tions where yo u
wanttosendthefiles you’ve selected ina driveor volumewindow that isopen
inside My Computer or Windows Explorer. For example, you might add an
applic ation or fol der to the Send To menu.
The Send T o options are:
•ClickAdd t o add a new pro gram to the File > Send To menu, available in
a drive window you open in My C omput er.
• Select a program and c lick Remove to re mov e it from the File > Send To
menu.
• Select a program and click Edit to change the program’s name in the Send
To Location s list, which is how the corresponding comman d will appear in
the Send T o men u.
• Select a program and c lick Properties to view its Pr operties sheet.
Context Menu tab
The Context Menu tab l ets you disab le, enable or delete commands in the top
sect ion of the Windows Context m enu. Y ou cann ot remove the Open, Edit or
Print commands, and you cannot add an y commands to the top section of the
Context menu .
The Context men u is the pop-up m enu that appears when you right-click an
objec t or the em p ty portion of a window . The Con text menu for a file usua lly
consists of several sections containing commands, with sections divided by a
horizontal separator bar. The first command in the top section is generally
Open,wheretheboldtypeindicatesthedefaultchoice.Thedefaultisthe
command performed when you double-click the file icon. There are usually
oth er Context menu commands in the first secti on, such as Edit, Print, Debug,
Qu ick View and so on.
Disabling or enabling a Context Menu handler
To disable a par ticular Context menu h andler, expand its n ode by clicking the
Plus sign or double- clicking the ic on.The child nod e s displayed indicat e the
Context menu comm a nds per formed by that particular C ontext menu
handler. Some Context m enu handlers perform only one comm and, w hereas
others perform several.
