Using QuickClean
Use the QuickClean w izard to perform any of the following actions to keep
your com puter fr ee of unused files and inv a lid shortcuts:
Remove unused files in the cache folder of your Internet browser.
Remove any temporary files in folders that ar e used by applications and
Windows.
Cl ean up shortcuts, Registry entries, and remove references in operating
system files that are not connected to any applic ation.
Empty the Recycl e Bin.
When you click QuickClean in the UnInstaller window, the QuickClean
wizard appear s . Yo u select the kind of cleaner action you w ant it to perform
and then click Next to ru n the clea nup.
You can a lso schedule Q u ickClean to run automatic ally, as descr ibed in t he
following sect ion.
To remove more f iles of different kinds a nd free a specific amount of d isk
spac e, use the SpaceMaker wizard.
How do I set up QuickClean to run automatically?
You can run QuickClean whenever you need it, or you can set up Q uickClean
to g et rid of unnecessary files and junk on your computer at regular intervals
while you work.
To set up QuickClean:
1. Click Settings on the Options menu in the main UnInstaller window and
select the QuickClean tab.
M ake sure that the QuickClean o ptions are set the way you want t hem.
The defaults in the Quic kCle an p age of the Opt ions dialog b ox specify
what kind of files and settings can be removed. You can also click
Schedule t o specify the sc he dule f or running QuickClean au toma tically.
2. Click Q uickClean in the main UnInstaller window and run the wizard
manually once to see the default se ttings in action.
