McAfee Utilities
Window Patterns tab
TheWindow Patternstabdisplaysoptionsyoucan select tocustomizethelook
of ap p licatio ns on your co mputer.
• Select Enable McAfee Utilit ie s Window P atterns t o activate this option.
• Select the application you want to customize from the drop-down m enu.
• Select W indow Patterns enabled to activate your selection. N otice that a
preview of your selection is displayed on the low er part of the di alog box.
• If you want to change the pattern of your selection, click Change P attern.
Follow the screen instructions to apply your changes.
After making your selection, click Apply; then click O K.
Disk Tools tab
The Disk Tools tab displays options you can set to access McAfee U tilities
properties w hen yo u point and r ight-clic k dri ves on your c omputer.
When this option is activated, select a drive on your computer; point and
right-click on t he drive; then select Properties from the drop-down menu and
the following tabs are displayed:
General tab disp lays information o n available and used space on your
computer.
Tools ta b displa ys inf ormation as to when you have last pe rformed a
particu lartaskonyourcomputer. Youcanalsoperform severaltasks from this
dialog box.
• Error-checking status displays information as to when you last checked
selected dri ve for errors. You can click Check Now... to run a check via the
ScanD isk dialog box. Follow the wizard to complete the task.
• Backup status displays information as to when you last backed up files on
selected drive. Y ou can click Backup Now... to perform backup on this
drive.
• Defragmentation status displays information as to when y ou last
defragmented selected drive. You can click D efragment Now... to perform
defragmentation o n s elected drive.
McAfee Utilities tab displays informat ion as to when you have l ast performed
a part icula r task o n selecte d drive using McAfee Ut ilities components. You can
also perform several tasks using these components from this dialog box.
