If you find over time that you are being alerted to potential security risks too
often, you can adjust the alert message settings in Protection Settings. Cooki e
Blocker and Gatekeeper require a period o f adjustment before Product Nam e
haslearnedtoaddressyourconcernswiththeleastamountofdisruption.
TIP: If you d e cide you no longer wa nt to see an a le rt m e ssage, us e t he
question mark (?) button in the aler t message to find out what setting to
change. All of the settings that control the alert messages are located
underProtectionSettingsintheOptionsmenu.
Using Browser Buddy to retrieve or store your Web site
passwords
You can depend o n Product N a me to help you eas ily navigate through t he
intric acies o f the Web. For exam ple, when you connect to Web sites t hat
req uire a name and password, y ou can use Browser Buddy to:
Drag your username or password from Passw ord Manag er and drop it on
the login form for the Web site.
Ad d new password information for a Web site.
Browser Buddy can also tell you how many cookies have been allowed or
rejected b y Co okie Blocker and how many times a search inf ormation you
initia ted from one Web s ite, has be en blocked by Search Protect or from being
passed to another W eb site.
TIP: Browser Bud dy always remains displayed on top of any programs
open o n yo ur s creen. If Browser Buddy is located in an awkward
position, you can close it and reopen it as needed.
