You do not need to have UnInstalle r in stalled on the m achine where you
reinstall the transported application. You do need to make sure that the
application license ag reement permits you to use the applica tio n on m ore than
one c omputer.
A package file created by the Transport wizard contains:
• Th e applica tion itself.
• Registry entries that store application default settings, and other
information need ed to set up the applica tion exactly as it was on the
original computer.
• The part of the Transport wizard t hat rebuilds the application.
• An y data files, spreadsheets, document files, and so forth, that you have
chosen to include.
To rebuild a transported application on a new computer:
1. If you created the Transport package on a removable disk, insert the disk
that contains the package fil e.
If you created the Transport package on a network drive, make sure that
the computer where you want to build t he t ransported application is
connected to the network drive.
2. In the Windows Explorer, click the letter of th e drive th at contai ns the
Transport package file.
3. Double - click the name of the p ackage file in the Explorer file lis t.
The Transport wizard opens.
4. Follow the wizard instructio ns to build the ap p licatio n on th e new
comp uter.
Using Archive
Use the Archive w izard t o create a compresse d backup c opy, calle d an archive,
of an application and remove it from your computer until you n eed it again .
To start the Archive wizard, click Archive in the UnInstaller window .
To free the most hard-disk space, store th e archive on a removable disk, such
as a Zip
®
disk. But even if you store the archive on your hard drive, its
compressed files reduce the amount of space the application takes up.
