4-2-5. Adjustment of the head angle
[Adjusting procedure]
• Make adjustment with the head lowered to the bottom position.
• Adjustment with glossy media is recommended.
• Be sure to perform adjustment with the Head cover BKT attached.
1) Select [#ADJUSTMENT - HEAD ADJUST - SLANT adjust - 720 4PASS] and then
print the adjustment pattern.
2) Check the head tilt with a magnifying glass.
3) Loosen two tilt mounting screws, and then turn the tilt adjustment screw according to the
tilt direction. As a rough standard, the head tilts 50µm for each screw rotation.
The direction of turn the adjustment screw
Care is required when using a magnifying glass
because of horizontal and vertical inversion.
