3-5. Troubles about ink cartridge
3-5-1. Indications of remaining ink
Problems Indications of wrong quantity of remaining ink corresponding to actual
remaining ink.
Causes Wrong quantity of remaining ink must be observed cleaning, ink filling, and
variable data plotting.
Remarks 1-) Upgrade the most recent F/W.
• Indications of remaining ink are available functions as part of rough t
arget.
Some plotting data and condition may be inaccurate over 3-40%.
3-5-2. A cartridge attempts to print without ink.
Problems The signal of the ink end is not indicated even when the ink run out.
Causes Ink end is indicated when specific amount of ink is used after near end sensor
detect.
However due to near end sensor has not detected, continue plotting without
indication of ink end.
Checking procedures 1) Check jut of near end plate of ink cartridge.
2) Check top and bottom side of the near end plate.
3) Check near end sensor of the plotter.
Remedies 1-2) Replace the ink cartridge with new one.
3) Replace near end sensor and cartridge guide.
