17.3 Understanding the AG Display
The AG module can send waves and numerics for all measured anesthetic gases for display
on the monitor, including:
CO
2
, O
2
, N
2
O and AA waves
awRR: airway respiratory rate
MAC: minimal alveolar concentration
End tidal (Et) and fraction of inspired (Fi) numerics for CO
2
, O
2
, N
2
O and AA
The patient monitor can display up to four anesthetic gas waveforms simultaneously, which
are CO
2
, AA, O
2
and N
2
O. When the AG module is AION 03, the AA waveform area displays
the primary anesthetic gas’s waveform, and the parameter area displays end tidal (Et) and
inspired (Fi) values for two anesthetic gases.
When O
2
module does not exist, no O
2
waveform will be displayed. When O
2
module exists,
the O
2
waveform will be displayed only when the O
2
waveform is currently switched on.
When too many other waveforms are displayed, O
2
waveform will not be displayed even if
the O
2
waveform is switched on. In this case, you may need to switch off some other
waveforms.
