16. USB (RS-232C) interface
16-1. Specifications of interface
To install special driver software from our homepage to the host side to use the USB(RS-
232C) interface is necessary.
Moreover, the USB cable must use less than 5 m.

16-2. Operation mode
You can select from [Command mode] or [Stream mode]
Each mode is explained as follows.
(1) Command mode
Data is sent back from CSD-892-73 to the host side by sending Command/data provided by
the Host (Personal computer) to CSD-892-73 according to Command / Data. Please execute
the communication according to the following procedure.

(2) Stream mode
This mode keeps outputting the latest data of the output target selected by function F-41
[Output target of USB (RS-232C)]. However, the output frequency changes by setting the
baud rate. Please refer to [7-2. Function data list].
• Error command is transmitted without communicating while the calibration
mode, Check mode and setting of C function.
• Neither the flow control
nor X flow control is not executed in CSD-892-73.
• The communicating operation is interactive mode.
• When USB (RS-232C) interface is used, the CE standard is excluded.
• Host limits to PC (Personal Computer).
• Error command is transmitted without communicating while the Calibration mode,
Check mode and setting of C function.
