Deployment Steps for the MiVoice Business Solution on SMB Controller
•
to instruct Teleworker sets to connect to MiVoice Border Gateway using the post-NAT IP
address and to include the address in the set-side streaming address.
The icp-side streaming address will be the second LAN IP.
To configure the MiVoice Border Gateway, see the instruction provided in the MBG Installation
and Maintenance Guide on Mitel Document Center.
To access the ESM management from the internet, the web proxy on the MiVoice Border
Gateway must be configured with split DNS. For this to work properly you must:
•
configure a private DNS server on the LAN to resolve the MiVoice Business FQDN.
For details, see the topic Split DNS Setup in the MBG Installation and Maintenance Guide on
Mitel Document Center.
•
configure a public DNS server to resolve the same private MiVoice Business FQDN to the
SMB Controller WAN public IP.
For details, see the topic Split DNS Setup in the MBG Installation and Maintenance Guide on
Mitel Document Center.
•
the SMB Controller hostname needs to be different than the MiVoice Business hostname in
the private/public FQDN.
•
configure the MiVoice Border Gateway web proxy user and domain for MiVoice Business
and other optional applications such as MiCollab, MiContact Center and Mitel Interaction
Recording. For details, see the topic Configure LAN Servers on the Web Proxy in the MBG
Installation and Maintenance Guide on Mitel Document Center.
Note:
If the web proxy is not configured, users accessing the SMB Controller WAN IP are
redirected to server-manager.
