This chapter provides troubleshooting information for the SMB Controller, intended for use by Mitel
certified technicians. For troubleshooting other general issues, see MiVoice Business Troubleshooting
Guide.
12.1 Factory Default Static IP Address
To temporarily set the IP address to its default value, so you can access the SMB controller using
the default IP address. The IP configuration of the other IP interfaces (eth1, eth2,...) and all other
data are preserved, only eth0 is impacted by the process.
If the IP address has not been changed in the interim, the SMB Controller will use the previous IP
address from the database after a restart.
To temporarily set the IP address to its default value, follow the procedure:

Power up the SMB Controller.
2.
There are two options:

A brand new or a factory reset SMB Controller starts with DHCP client enabled. If the
communication server cannot find a DHCP server within 90 seconds, it deactivates the
DHCP mode, and the system is then accessible via its default IP address. You can wait for
