Troubleshooting
Possible Cause
SMB Controller will restart in 90 seconds after reaching the shut-down mode and does not power
down automatically.
Corrective Action
When the shut-down mode is reached, the SMB Controller can be disconnected from the power
supply without concerns. The SMB Controller will remain in this mode for 90 seconds. For more
details, see Shut-down mode.
12.5 Unable to Access the Server Manager/ESM
Symptom
Unable to access the Server Manager/ESM.
Possible Cause
Your computer might be on another subnet.
Your computer might not be in a trusted network or in remote management network.
Corrective Action
Ensure that your PC is on the same subnet of the SMB Controller.
From a PC that is on a trusted network, add the computer network of the new PC to the
trusted network list.
From a PC that is on a trusted network, add your computer network to the remote
management network.
12.6 Unable to Access the SMB Controller Manager Using
the Default IP Address
Symptom
After configuring the SMB Controller to use its default IP address, the user is unable to access
the SMB Controller Manager.
Possible Cause
The SMB Controller not configured for default IP address.
Your connecting PC might not be on a 192.168.104.0/24 subnet.
