Corrective Action
•
Try to access the SMB Controller Manager using the IP address provided by the DHCP server.
Disable the DHCP server. If the communication server cannot find a DHCP server within 90
seconds, it uses the IP address provided in the SMB Controller Manager. Try to access the
SMB Controller Manager using the IP address provided in the SMB Controller Manager.

Ensure that your PC's ethernet port is directly connected to the Eth0 port of the SMB
Controller and that the PC's ethernet port is configured for 192.168.104.0/24 subnet of the
SMB Controller
•
Ensure that your subnet is routable to the SMBC subnet.
•
Try to access the SMB Controller Manager using the correct IP address.
Reset the SMB Controller IP address to its default value. see, Factory Default Static IP
Address on page 183.
12.7 Unable to log into the SMB Controller Manager
Symptom
Unable to log into the SMB Controller Manager.
Possible Cause
Forgot or lost the SMB Controller Manager login credentials
Corrective Action
There is no way of recovering a forgotten Controller Manager admin password. Put the system
into Emergency Mode, and login to Controller Manager using the emergency mode username/
password
. See, Factory Reset the SMB Controller on page 186, and Emergency Mode on page 18. Use
the Factory Reset option from the Web UI.
12.8 Web Proxy to MiVB Intermittently Fails with a 503 Error
Symptom
An error 503 - Service unavailable occurs when attempting to log into MiVoice Business through
the MiVoice Border Gateway proxy from the internet.
