4.3.4 ONS (FXS) Devices
The SMB Controller does not support OPS Lines and does not support System Failure Transfer.
The specifications are defined in the ONS/OPS Circuit Descriptor Form.
Note:
To maintain emergency services during a power outage or a Controller outage, the
Administrator may want to ensure that a POTS phone with PSTN connectivity is
deployed and identified as an emergency phone.

• ONS Devices are Devices connected to the FXS Ports.

Positive Disconnect is not supported for ONS (FXS) devices.
4.3.5 DSP Allocation
The DSPs are loaded at boot time and the allocation cannot be changed at run time without a
MiVoice Business reboot. The DSP allocation depends on the number of required Voice Mail/
Auto Attendant ports. The number of supported VoIP channels (E2T channels) is driven by
whether G.729 Compression is enabled or not.
