The MiVoice Business on SMB Controller will support all Analog Sets, IP Sets and SIP Sets that
are supported on MiVoice Business application.
2.2.1 SMB Controller Manager
The SMB Controller is a pre-installed web-based configuration tool available on all Mitel SMB
Controller, independent of a loaded call manager or other software application. It offers a
simple, user-friendly interface and an online help for some basic configurations possibilities and
maintenance tasks as follows:
•
Upgrading the SMB Controller system software.
•
Upgrading and managing the Mitel Embedded Linux Distribution software.
•
Installing, upgrading, and managing the Mitel Standard Linux (MSL) Container for the MiVoice
Business on SMB Controller project.
•
Manage the IP addresses for the platform (Controller Manager)
•
Manage the Primary and Secondary DNS and Domain
•
Manage the Date and Time of the system

The SMB Controller file system comprises the system software, the emergency system software
and the boot software. The SMB Controller Manager (including the help files) is part of the
system software and in a reduced form part of the emergency system software. Usually there is
