The IP address of the MiVoice Business communication server
The data on the MiVoice Business communication server is not deleted and remains available.
11.9.3 Disk Replacement
The SMB Controller does not have a field replaceable disk. The storage disk is soldered into the
CPU card. When the storage disk fails, the CPU card needs to be replaced. This will also change
the EID of the system (which is on the CPU Flash) which is used to license the MiVoice Business
on SMB Controller.
Note:
Before opening the SMB Controller for any repair or troubleshooting, read the product
information and safety instructions carefully.
To prevent damage to the components, always follow proper ESD procedures. This also
applies to handling interface cards, processor cards, and system modules that are not inside
ESD-protective wrapping.
If the EID changes, the admin will need to reset the hardware identifier from the AMC and re-sync
the ARID from the server-manager. This may be the case if "disk replacements" are required on
the SMB Controller.
Note:
In the unlikely event of a disk failure, the customer is requested to contact customer
support to determine the best option to solve the issue. This may involve a
replacement of a full base unit. Ensure that system backups are maintained to allow
quick recovery of new hardware installation.
11.9.4 Replace Units
If the components on the controller unit needs to be replaced, the entire unit must be replaced.
