Turn the engine
over (rotate
crankshaft) with a
wrench
Ensure that the oil which may have collected is displaced by the piston.
1 Turn the engine over twice clockwise by means of the central bolt (AF size 17)
on the crankshaft using a box-end ratchet wrench (1).

NOTE Risk of cable fire or short circuit.
Insulate the connection cables for the glow plugs, e.g. using a piece of hose.

2 Refasten the electrical steel using two screws (1).

3 Reconnect the battery ground cable (-).
