The smoke from the engine must be decreasing noticeably and then stop completely.
Otherwise, there may be a mechanical defect in the engine.
1 Switch off the engine.
2 Check all fluid levels.
2.1 Top up as needed.
3 Inspect for fluid losses.
4 Start the engine.
