3.5.2 Transporting the printer
Pre-transportation procedure
Step 1: Switch ON the unit
Step 2: Confirm that the printer functions correctly.
Step 3: Remove all ink cassettes.
Step 4: Switch OFF the printer.
Step 5: Dispose of waste fluid
Refer to Disposal of waste fluids on page32
.
Step 6: Check that the printer head is in the rightmost position
Step 7: Bind the CR belt in the centre section of the printer by fastening the CR belt clip
around it.
Step 8: Remove the scroller.
Step 9: Remove all the cables, such as the power cable.
Step 10: Remove the printer from the stand.
Step 11: Repack the printer.
Post-transportation procedure
Step 1: Perform unpacking, assembling and setting the printer as described in the
installation guide.
