What to do if my MUTOH ValueJet 1604 displays '[KCMY] No Cartridge'?
    • M
      Michael HarringtonAug 19, 2025
If the message appears, refer to action in check item No. 2. Remove all cartridges and lightly push the switch of ink NOT sensor assembly (K, C, M, Y) with something with a flat tip such as a ballpoint pen to check that the display of "[KCYM] INK NOT" changes. Reconnect the following connectors: MAIN board J43 and HEATER JUNCTION board connectors J5(K), J6(C), J7(M), and J8(Y). If the ink color displayed as "Ink End" changes after replacing the connector, the ink sensor assembly is damaged and should be replaced. If the ink color displayed as "Ink End" does not change after replacing the connector, the Main board assembly may be damaged and should be replaced.
