2.2 Clutch-and-brake assembly
2.2.1 System design
Armature disk 3 provided with brake lining 1 or clutch lining 2, respectively, is axially
movable on a spline bush 4. Springs 5 force it against brake ring 6. This will safely
brake the machine.
When the clutch is energized armature disk 3 will be attracted by the magnetic field of
coil body 7 and pressed against friction ring 8. This will engage the clutch.
