VD2
By VD2 as the acceleration or fast-speed valve, you can readjust the clamp speed
started after you press the cut-release pushbuttons or initiate fully automatic cutting.
The clamp should come down rapidly. For preclamping, it must also allow you to stop
and start it at any height, but should gently touch down on the cutting table. Too high
a clamp speed can result in damage to the machine.
How to adjust:
- Slacken the lock nut.
- Gently readjust the spindle:
Clockwise = higher speed.
Anticlockwise = lower speed.
- Tighten the lock nut.
VD3
The VD3 is a safety valve. It is factory-set and must not be readjusted as this will lead
to overloading the clamping system, thus resulting in the breakage of individual com-
ponents.
Compared with the clamping pressure shown in Table 2, this safety valve is set 3 bar
higher.

8.4.3 Checking the settings
You can check all pressure stages at measuring point M1 or M2 with the aid of a test
manometer (optional).
For the settings, please refer to Table 2.
